The last room of the Front Street house to complete was the sunroom. For three years it remained the left-over room, a storage room, a place for the kids junk. Finally one day Brian gave me a meager budget ($2,000) to re-style the space and I happily accepted the challenge.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned on my design journey so far is that the decisions that are the boldest, the ones that make my insides flutter with fear, are typically my favorite design elements in the house. For sure this rang true with the sunroom. The room has lots of character and wood working so it emboldened me to paint the room BLACK. Yup, a black sunroom. This room quickly became my favorite coffee & wine sipping room. Here’s a tour of our moody but bright Coffee & Cocktails Sunroom.
