Oh, the guest room. Arguably one of the most important rooms in your home, as your guests will be experiencing the house from the perspective of this space. Your guest room is their little home base in the world while they are visiting. Why then has it always gotten all of my leftovers?
One by one I’ve slowly upgraded decorative details from design castaways to design wins. The rug, bed, and light have all been intentional selections, and the dreamy paint color has been transformative. (Paint Color: Van Courtland Blue, Benjamin Moore).
Now for the all important comfort factor. I’ve recently been introduced to the company MagicLinen. I am not kidding, I could order every single product off of their website. Beautiful stone washed European linens in every perfectly muted color of the rainbow. While they offer tablecloths, runners and napkins that could make your heart go pitter pat, I was in desperate need of textile upgrades in our guest room.
I chose The Striped in Blue Linen Duvet Cover and matching pillowcases. The set is soft, organic, and just the right breathable fabric for our seaside location. The preppy stripes complete our beachy guest room.
What was once a sad space, is now the room I very slowly walk past every morning. Its my favorite peekaboo, with the rich blue-green wash on the walls and the beachy stripes on the bed this room is now possibly one of the best. Without a doubt its now certainly the comfiest.
Go see for yourself, my Rad Resource this week is a linen company I am going to return to for every room in my house, and hopefully for future holiday table settings as well: MagicLinen
